„Wann de Musik vuabei is“ Willi Resetarits: *1948 in Stinatz, Burgenland, † 2022 in Wien.

JAM MUSIC LAB Private University mourns the death of Willi Resetarits. He died in a fatal accident on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the age of 73. The evening before, he had opened the Vienna Refugee Ball.

Musician Willi Resetarits, alias "Ostbahn-Kurti," left a unique mark on the Austrian music scene of the past 50 years. With his humor and charisma, his intelligence and his empathy, he influenced generations of musicians, and with tireless energy he stood up for the poorest in society. He was co-founder of Integrationshaus, SOS Mitmensch and a number of other charitable institutions and initiatives.

Resetarits supported and inspired young musicians in Austria and also strengthened the promotion of talent at the JAM MUSIC LAB private university with personal commitment. Many of us lose a wonderful colleague, mentor and friend. Our deepest sympathy goes to his family circle. Dear Willi, rest in peace.
